Apex Luna Studios

Stephan Hyman, founder of Apex Luna Studios, is based in Namibia. This is music shaped by long drives, open country, and a lot of time spent figuring things out. The sound sits somewhere between Afro house and soulful pop — a groove you can move to, a vocal that only fully opens by the last chorus, and lyrics in Afrikaans and English that lean toward hope rather than away from it. A record is in the works.

The early years were quiet in the best way. Songs written at home, recorded and rebuilt one track at a time, with no label, no scene, and no particular hurry. What shifted things was persistence more than any single break — the work got better, and the sound started sounding like itself.
